Natural Hormone Therapy Program Description

Your anti-aging therapy program is a highly specialized and customized process that consists of five phases.

1. Anti-Aging Therapy Pre-Consultation Interview (Free)

Age management is a very personal process and during this initial session you will learn about hormone replacement therapy (natural), identify and share your goals, and discuss your needs and concerns with our anti-aging doctor. During this consultation it is also important to make certain that there are no medical exclusions (conditions or other circumstances) that would prevent treatment.

This complimentary session can be accomplished in person or by phone. It takes approximately 15-30 minute to conduct the evaluation and will help provide some of the preliminary medical information needed in order to design a personalized program that will help you achieve your age management goals and to enhance the quality of your life.

2. Laboratory Tests

The next phase of the process comes from the laboratory results that are obtained from blood serum or saliva.

Although it is possible to determine some hormone levels from saliva, most metabolic tests such as those for blood count, liver, kidney, lipids, cardiac markers, diabetes testing only come from blood serum analysis.

So, the Age Management Center begins with initial testing from a blood sample and subsequently schedules follow-up tests to confirm proper hormone balance. These tests may be taken from either blood or saliva and that choice is dependent on several factors including client preference.

Laboratories used by the Age Management Center are high quality, nationally recognized facilities that are also CLIA certified.

CLIA certification means that the laboratory is compliant and meets the standards set by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments(CLIA) passed by congress in 1988.

CLIA established quality standards for all laboratory testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of patient test results regardless of where the test was performed

3. Personal Consultation, Examination, and Lab Review

Once the initial consultation is complete and the laboratory results are received, the next part of the process is the personal consultation, exam and review of the lab test results.

In this phase, diet, lifestyle, exercise, metabolic imbalances and hormone deficiencies are assessed.

During this 1½ to 2 hour appointment, the anti-aging doctor will review your health status, risk factors, medical and family history, x-rays and other studies.

Once your hormonal and metabolic baseline is identified, program goals are discussed, and a detailed analysis of your lab values is reviewed, the next phase will move into an individualized nutraceutical assessment.

At this point additional recommendations for vitamins and supplements will be discussed as part of the total program designed to achieve your age management goals and enhance the quality of your life.

4. Anti-Aging Therapy Program Development

After the conclusion of the consultation you will receive a detailed report from the anti-aging doctor with his recommendations for your age management program.

The anti-aging clinic will assist you in obtaining all the necessary medications, supplies and vitamins and will coordinate medication refills, follow-up lab testing, office visits, and telephone or email communications.

5. Concierge Medicine Continued Care

The anti-aging therapy program requires continuous care since there are medications and natural hormone therapy adjustments that need to be monitored.

As part of your total anti-aging therapy program it is necessary to schedule regular lab exams, occasional telephone consultations, periodic review of lab levels and adjustments to medical treatments.

Personalized ongoing communication during your program and treatment is required and provided. If any new discoveries or developments in the field are made, we share that information with you.

These concierge medicine services require an annual professional fee for the cost of your ongoing program.

This allows you unlimited access for scheduled follow-up exams, program discussions, email communication and personal management.

The Age Management anti-aging clinic staff will help coordinate your medications, nutraceuticals and schedule your follow-up blood draws.

Additional consultations will be scheduled to discuss the results of your lab work with your anti-aging doctor.

The blood draw, labs, and medications are not included in the annual concierge medicine service fee.

Anti-Aging Therapy Fees

Natural hormone therapy cost will vary according to the individual but the average hormone optimization program pharmaceuticals will average between $100-$200 per month (excluding the human growth hormone).

If your insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) levels are not optimal and there are no issues identified against using the human growth hormone, HGH can cost between $300 to $400 per month based on your recommended dose.

Additional charges can also apply if you decide to start or replace an existing nutraceutical program which can vary from $45 to $150 per month based on your individual needs.

Primary Care Physician Role

The Age Management Center is not involved in your routine heath care or acute health conditions. So it is mandatory that you have a primary physician for your ongoing health care needs.

The anti-aging clinic will manage your hormone replacement therapy (natural) based on your follow-up lab panels, emails and phone consultations, and will be available to you on a pre-scheduled basis in person, via phone or email.

Pharmacy

A comprehensive portrait of your your current physical status can be assessed after considering body fat, lean muscle, bone density and medical history along with the results of your physical examination and review of the laboratory tests. Armed with this information, your anti-aging doctor will be able to develop individualized program recommendations.

Rest assured that your natural hormone therapy program will be prioritized based on your goals and your medical needs.

It is your decision as to whether or not you embark on a comprehensive program or choose to begin a program that addresses your highest priority first.

The Age Management Center recommends quality pharmacies that specialize in the unique skill of compounding of the best bio identical hormone treatment therapy medications.

Part of your treatment may include recommendations for actual medications and there are various options on how you can have those filled.

Since many people are loyal to their local pharmacy, our anti agining clinic will be happy to provide you with a prescription upon request.

However, since a large number of our recommendations require custom compounding and must be manufactured to very individual specifications, we urge you to let us refer you to the licensed pharmacies the Age Management Center routinely uses.

These speciality products can be shipped directly to your home with little hassle.

Because these compounds are specialty orders, each must be prepaid along with the shipping and handling. Also, all medication sales are final.

Please note that most insurances will not cover the compounding pharmacy medication charges.

Metabolic Data

Part of your anti aging therapy program includes establishing the baseline but also requires constant monitoring of your health throughout the process.

An extensive blood analysis is crucial prior to starting any hormone replacement therapy (natural) so your anti-aging doctor can determine the specific medications and optimal dosages that will best serve you.

Additionally, regular monitoring of different parameters in bloodwork taken during your course of treatment is important and since lab results and “normal ranges” can vary from one lab to another.

So it is important to consistently use one quality laboratory.

Please be aware that some insurance companies do not consider frequent monitoring as a necessary measure and so may challenge reoccurring lab requests.

The Age Management Center works with laboratories that are willing to provide discounts on regular testing and so we are willing to offer them to our clients.

Bloodwork analysis is billed separately at the time of collection.

Health Insurance

As a concierge medicine center, the Age Management Center does not accept insurance.

However, we can provide you with a medical bill and a copy of your clinical record for documentation to your insurance company or for your tax preparation.

Since our anti aging clinic is a medical practice, check to see if your services will qualify for coverage under your health savings plans.

Some patients may have success in obtaining at least partial reimbursement and we do not require or recommend asking for pre-approval.
